South West England

South West England

Welcome to Devon, often referred to as Mother Nature’s Playground. Whether you’re looking for adventure, experiences, culture or some R&R, Devon is the place for you. This diverse county has everything you could think of and a little more besides! From the bustling historic cities of Plymouth and Exeter, where you can enjoy live music, an active nightlife and all the culture you could consume, to the varied coastlines, the abundance of areas of national beauty (AONBs), the popular English Riviera and everything else in between!

Visit Cornwall for some great fun with all the family, from the Flambards Theme Park to the National Maritime Museum, from Paradise Wildlife Park to Newquay Zoo, there’s something to keep everybody entertained, whatever the weather. From Bude to Land’s End, St Ives to Looe, it’s unlikely you’ll get bored!

All across the moors of central Somerset, there are fascinating reminders of historic activities in the county, from grand abbeys to humble peat huts. Here, Alfred the Great successfully repelled the Vikings. The area has a wealth of historic treasures and the second highest number of listed buildings outside London.

In addition to Devon, Cornwall and Somerset, the South West of England is home to Dorset, Exmoor, and Wiltshire. Dorset boasts some of the most beautiful coast and countryside, whilst Exmoor has stunning views to admire, in addition to its famous ponies up on the moors. Visit Wiltshire and see the ancient standing stones at Stonehenge.
