Isle of Wight

Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight is simple to get to and a wonderful holiday destination all year round to explore.  Measuring just 23 miles by 13 miles, the Isle of Wight is a hub of activity all year round with plenty to offer.  It’s littered with picturesque villages and bustling small towns, where you’ll find a great range of shops including local boutique stores and familiar high street brands.  Or stop off in one the coffee shops or cafes and refuel with some delicious coffee and homemade cake.

There are some great places to visit on the island.  Potter through the villages and discover the picture postcard side of the Island.  The country lanes are surrounded by greenery and quintessentially English thatched cottages.  And be sure to stop off at one of the designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Why not take a picnic and make a day of relaxing and exploring the beautiful countryside at your own pace?  There are some great places to visit, each with their own unique character and heritage.  Shanklin, the traditional seaside resort has a lovely mix of seaside and open, green space.

Along with beautiful beaches, inspiring landscapes and miles of footpaths, the island is a brilliant place to escape to all year round.  A perfect destination for many historic locations; step back in time to Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s family home, Roman villas and Carisbrooke Castle.
