What insurance do I need?
You’ll need to take out your own short-term policy through DayInsure. It’s quick, easy, and fully compatible with hiring Paddy. Insurance typically costs around £60 for a three-day hire and around £140 for a week.
You must be 25 or older due to insurance requirements.
Can I book over the phone instead of online?
Absolutely. If you’d feel more comfortable talking everything through, just give us a call.
We’re always happy to guide you step-by-step and help you plan your adventure.
Is a security deposit required?
Yes — we take a £300 refundable security deposit, which is returned once Paddy is safely back with us in good condition.
What accessibility features does Paddy have?
Paddy includes:
• A ceiling-mounted hoist
• A height-adjustable bed
• Shower/commode chair
• Rear ramp access
• A completely open internal layout
• Heating and hot water
He was designed by a wheelchair user, for wheelchair users, so every detail has been thought about.
What is the mileage limit?
Paddy includes 150 miles per day (or 1,050 miles per week) as standard.
Extra miles are charged at 30p per mile.
This helps us keep Paddy in excellent condition for all future guests.
Can I take Paddy abroad?
Yes — European travel is allowed with an additional £15 per day insurance upgrade.
