The South East of England
With so much history, what to do first is the hardest decision. The South East is home to a host of UNESCO World Heritage sites, cathedrals, churches, palaces, castles and more. It is the weekend home of the British royal family and the gateway to the world-famous Jurassic coastline.
Around 1900 hours of sunshine a year help to make this area the wine capital of the UK, with over 140 vineyards, producing wine by the barrel full and with many offering tours, tastings, lunches and dinners. Known as ‘The Garden of England’, this area is host to gentle hills, fertile farmland and cultivated country estates with fruit filled orchards that cover the area.
Penshurst Place and Hall Place Gardens are all well known for the scenic views they offer and are definitely not to be missed.
